It was another weekend of partying. A long 3-day weekend because I had the day off from work on Friday because of Veteran's Day. Ritsuko and I met that morning to go have lunch at
Sweet Basil. It's a cute and little Thai restaurant in downtown and you can either order ala carte style of the menu or enjoy their 10 course buffet for only $8.95. Can't go wrong there! We decided to go with their buffet and that day they offered Crab "something" soup, chicken rice soup (it's like porridge), red chicken curry, green pork curry, fried chicken, red mussels curry, and different salads along with Thai sticky rice, white jasmine rice or brown rice. YUMMICILIOUS! As for our drinks, I ordered my favorite Thai Iced Tea and Ritsuko tried their sweet Lemongrass Tea. It was yet another perfect Thai meal...as we left the restaurant full and bloated from eating too much. After lunch we decided to walk it off by doing some window-shopping at Ala Moana. I came home with 2 tops from Arden B, a top from Hollister and another top from Bebe! I'm so broke now *sighs*
In the evening, we met again to go check out
Pearl; a new swanky place ~ restaurant/lounge/club on the 3rd level at Ala Moana Shopping Center. I totally dig the interior...a really comfortable feeling! We got there a little before 7pm and in time for their happy hour $5 specialty cocktails which runs til about 8pm. Their pupus were a little pricey for the amount that was served but the crab cakes and poke was good. We didn't stay too long and later adjourned to
Momomo restaurant on Waialae Avenue for some grubs! It was so good and I sobered up real fast after my first couple bites. My favorite dishes were the fried rice with crab meat gravy, fresh osyters, chicken with salt and deep fried eggplant with miso. Thank you to both Ritsuko and Neko for the good fun and great company! Saturday night, I met up with Ritsuko again to go to
Lotus Sound Bar to check out a guest DJ, James Curd perform. Cool "house" tunes but a little hard to dance to. There we met up with one of her friend's; Jamie and her boyfriend. It was another night of music and vodka cranberry. YAM SENG!!
