It's been exactly a year since I last partied until the wee hours at a club. I remember checking out Poppy Garden, Telawi Street Bistro, Souled Out and Zouk/Velvet Underground when I was in KL, partying almost every other night with my girlfriends. Last night, Ritsuko and I were invited as VIP's to the soft opening of a new club/lounge called Lotus Sound Bar in Waikiki. The night before I'd ask her what we should wear and Ritsuko mentioned that the theme was dress "sexy". So after rummaging through my closet, I decided to be all girlie for one night and wear a skirt instead of jeans or pants. Good decision? We arrived early, starting taking pictures and as we got ourselves comfortable on one of the red couches, we were being served mini yummy appertizers. The night started off slowly as they were still doing some last minute preparations to have the place all set up and by 9pm, it will in full swing with loads of pretty and attractive people. They catered their food ~ mainly seafood and salad dishes. They played house music all night long and we were ordering drinks like there was no tomorrow. I had my share of vodka-cranbery, dry vodka martini, Heineken beer and more vodka cranberry! We hung out with Ritsuko's sister-in-law; Michelle and her hubby, her friend; Sachiko and her hubby. It was a great night with lotsa booze, good fun and an attempt to dance to house style tunes! Not easy I tell ya ;P
