Aloha! Happy TGIF!! Another weekend has arrived and I'm looking forward to it. This past week has been a good one...school was suprisingly FUN!!! We had an in-class mock trial on Tuesday for my law class and we WON! I was a witness, and I thought I goof it as I didn't quite answer the cross-exam questions too good. Ohh well, it was fun nevertheless because we won in the end. My night class was interesting as well...we did an in-class activity to evaluate our own internal and external SWOT analysis and then voluntarily share to the class. Ohh, we also got our term paper and presentation grades back; 93 and 90...not too bad...still an A. Woo-hoo! Now I have work on submitting a few extra credits to actually score an A in this damn class! Also got back the 11-page paper I wrote for my accounting class - 11 out of 12. Only one paper (a group paper on Gender Pay Inequality) was not returned by my Law professor but I hope we'll get it back next class.

Last evening, I met up with Ritsuko after work to check out this store Bamboo Sky on Kapiolani Blvd. They organized a special a girls' night out event called "Retail Therapy," where they took over Osake located next door, featured several designers (Ginger 13, Indah, Scrapbook and more) that were showcasing their goods at wholesale prices and should you purchase something, you'll be treated with a free massage, aromatherapy and makeup touch-ups. We even got to eat sushi off a male model's ti leaf-draped body. Now that's something you don't usually do in your normal everyday life...at all!!! The sushi was good...especially loved the one with the spicy crab filling. I gave in to my temptation and bought myself a cute red/black dress (at a good deal) and I promise I'll take a picture along with my previous shopping goodies and post it soon.

Also, the statewide smoking ban took effect yesterday ~ prohibits smoking in all public places including: bars, restaurants -- even open air restaurants -- office buildings and any place workers would be affected by smoke. Smokers would have to smoke at least 20 feet away from the entrance to any business or office. Therefore, the only place you would be able to smoke would be your car, on your bike or in your home. I wonder how many smokers will eventually quit smoking because of this tough smoking ban?

How many of you spent all night in line to purchase your very own PS3 that was released today? It'd be my guess that R would have done the same exact thing if he did not have to work and if the movie "Casino Royale" did not open today. It was crazy...and the electronic stores here in Honolulu only had limited numbers on hand...from 18 to 28. According to the Honolulu Advertiser, Wal-Mart announced it had 18 PS3 consoles for sale. Meanwhile, there were 26 people camped out at Circuit City in Aiea - one customer for each video game player. It's pricing ~ $499 for the 20GB and $599 for the 60GB! The news games look pretty exciting as well...and luckily one is still able to play PS1 and PS2 games on the new console. So do you have it on your Christmas wishlist yet?
