Yes, I am a couple days late, however I do hope everyone had a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving! We had a splendid thanksgiving luncheon with R's relatives with your usual menu of turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, potato salad, cranberry sauce, hot rolls, and pumpkin pie for dessert! Yum! I won't post any food pictures to torture you more...but then again I was in awe of the presentation and also so, so, so very hungry, I did forget to take pictures. We were all thankful that the family could come together to celebrate this special day but I was especially thankful for the great food in front of me and the people I've come to adore all around me!
How many of you woke up early to go shopping on Black Friday? Almost all the stores opened their doors at 5am; with the exception of CompUSA, KB Toys and several stores at Waikele. I'd initially set my alarm for 2am so I could get ready and head over to either Circuit City or Best Buy in Pearlridge for some good DVD bargains but I'd turn off my alarm when it buzzed and didn't wake up til 5am. I guess I was just exhausted from the previous day events and all that FOOD! So I showered, got ready and drove to Office Max for several items. I was rather suprise that it wasn't as busy as I'd presummed it would be and I was able to buy the essential items I needed. Then, I drive over to Ala Moana Shopping Center to check out the individual store bargains.
The rest of the day was spent browsing through each store at Waikele. Getting there and trying to find parking was a nightmare especially when you're competing with other shoppper. I'd practically did not move for almost 15 minutes eventhough the stoplights had changed to "green" about 4 or 5 times, but since everyone was impatient, they simply blocked traffic! So finally I'd changed lanes, drive to the other side and find a good parking spot by K-Mart and also was just in time to catch the free trolley for a short ride over to the outlet stores. In the end, see below for the on all the shopping bags that caused major damage to my wallet!! (I'd was meant to shop for Christmas gift but most of everything was something for me...ai!!!)
