Good Aloha Friday, Everyone! Yes, it's Friday again ~ it was a short yet hectic work week, but the weekend's finally here and better yet, I got nothing planned (yet). I feel like I've been waiting for Friday since Tuesday. Whew! I've made it through another week. Thank you God! This morning started off kind of rough because of the rain but I can say my day so far has been moderately excellent. I'd even took some time to organize and clean my work area. Organized for how long? Scary. It's clean and dust-free!
New Tenant
Welcome my new tenant in the rent-my-blog series ~ Inconceivable. From among another week of good bloggers (check back and bid again, y'all...), I hate having to choose only one renter as it really makes me feel positively evil! So, with that out, please click over and have a read while she's here on my sidebar.
Kicking & Screaming
As always, our usual routine come chow time is to pick a movie to watch while having dinner and last night's pick was Kicking & Screaming. This is a sweet and pretty funny film. Much of the humor is aimed at adults but it also manages to avoid alienating kids. Some scenes are just silly, others are dead-on uproarious. It stars Will Ferrell as the parent who volunteers to coach his kid's soccer team, even though he doesn't have a clue how to go about it. Without giving much away...it pokes fun at the overzealous parent who re-lives his or her youth by taking an overactive part in their child's activities and rather than love and encourage, these parents go overboard in their support and displays an outrageous act of poor sportsmanship! Still, I liked Kicking & Screaming because it made me laugh pretty consistently. The most amazing thing about Will Ferrell is that he can make absolutely nothing funny. It's just a Will Ferrell cinematic playground filled with Will Ferrell antics. The kids are all cute, especially the smallest member of the team, little Elliot Cho as Byong Sun, the adopted son of a lesbian couple, whose presence also provides a few amusing moments. So if you're looking for some quick and easy laugh...give the movie a try! Sit back and enjoy!
Johari Window
Stolen from K and J, I've started my own window by selecting a number of characteristics, and now I invite you to select from that same set of characteristics and see whether my image of myself matches what I project to you.
What is Johari Window anyways?
A Johari window is a metaphorical tool intended to help people better understand their interpersonal communication and relationships. It is used primarily in self-help groups and corporate settings as a heuristic device to encourage people to open up to another in self-disclosure. The concept was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham, who combined their first names to create the name of the tool and has led to the spinoff Nohari window.
It is interesting...so if you know me or have some opinions about me, please play along and choose five or six words that you honestly think best describes me by CLICKING MY JOHARI WINDOW. It's supposed to build personality awareness. If you do set up your own Johari Window afterwards, be sure to leave a link in the comments so I can fill out yours. Thanks & Aloha!
Everyone...have a wonderful weekend and cheers until Monday!
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.
So kick back, click away and don't forget...enjoy your visit!
"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
