Saturday & Sunday...what did you do?
So the weekend came and went by...really fast if I must say so. Ryan had to work so I had two days all to myself to do anything that I wanted. What will it be? Initially I'd made this l-o-n-g list of things to do...but decided to scrap that and just go with the moment. I must declare that Saturday and Sunday are two of my favorite days of the week. It's the day where I can justify doing absolutely nothing without feeling plagued by guilt. I don't have to try to look pretty. I don't have to brush my teeth (okay, I take that back). I can walk about from room to room looking like a greasy demon and nobody will be there to notice or comment (umm...only if I have the apartment all to myself!). Just those two days lets you be who you are, in your least attractive, dirtiest, stinkiest form (hehe...what a way to describe how I'll be spending my lonely weekend!).
I slept in both days to catch up on muh needed sleep just a little. I haven't been sleeping well the previous week so I figured I needed the extra snooze time. Sure this will make things worse and make it harder to wake up on time come Monday morning; but I didn't care because I knew I needed it. Plus I didn't think I would want to nap in the afternoon - it's too hot even with the fans on! Saturday was a productive day. I woke up before noon, made some breakfast and popped myself on the couch and channel-surf for something to watch on cable. Nothing was on, so instead I turned on the DVD player, deciding if I should continue watching Dawson's Creek or watch something else. After much thought and considering that my breakfast was getting cold...I finally put in a Chinese movie, The Troublemakers.
After the movie ended, I asked myself if I should continue to be lazy and stay on the couch all day or should I start to do some apartment cleaning. I thought hard, continued to think without giving myself a massive headache when I finally stood up, took my dishes to the sink...ran some water and let it soak for awhile (yes I admit I hate doing the dishes). Then I walked to the bedroom, looked around and wondered what I should do first. The laundry basket was an eye-soar & overflowing, so I decided to start with laundry. I separated the whites from the colors and put in the first load of whites (note to self: to add laundry detergent and softener to the grocery list). With that, I cleaned the bathroom next. Once that was done, I put in my second load into the washer; subsequently taking out the first batch - placing the ones that needs ironing back into the laundry basket and folding the rest. I hate ironing but it must be done...I'll put that off for last, something which I can do while watching TV. Basically I don't like doing household chores but now that I don't have my mommy to help me out, I'm pretty much stuck with doing it myself. Well I pretty much spent the rest of the day cleaning the bedroom, living area and kitchen. Just before Ryan returned at 5pm, I vacuumed the bedroom and living room carpets and finally adjusted the slipcover for the loveseat. *Phew*
Sunday was a more laidback day. I went out for a little bit for some window shopping at Kahala Mall and Ben Franklin Crafts by Marketcity. Bought some floral arrangements that were on sale at BFC and then to Daiei and Ranch 99 for some grocery shopping. It was a hot day and I wasn't really looking forward to going home. But being that I had some "cold stuff" in my grocery bags, I headed home. Once done putting away the food; I thought I can go downstairs to the pool and soak for a little bit. But taking a peak downstairs, I figured everyone had the same idea because there was a large amount of people by the poolside and lots of "loud" kids...splashing around. Instead of joining the loud crowd downstairs, I decorated the bathroom with scented lavender candles, played some slow music on the CD player and filled the bathtub with warm water and Body Shop's Vanilla Bubble Bath. While waiting for the tub to fill...first, I washed and deep-conditioned my hair, next exfoliated my face and put on a mask and then finally relax in all those bubbles. It was clear that this was what I needed because it surely lifted my spirits and made me feel like myself again. It definately was a well-spent day where I able to give myself a time-out and let myself be with some beauty pampering. I must attempt to do this again sometime soon!

"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~ Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
