Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's identity. Make their job easier. ICE your cell phone. ICE stands for In Case of Emergency.
Add an entry in the contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone number of the person/persons emergency personnel should call if you are in an accident or get ill someplace you are not known. Try making it the first entry in your phone book by adding a period first (.ICE). It saves valuable time. Loved ones will be contacted quickly. It might enable them to get to the hospital quickly and provide important medical information or give you support when you need it most.
It is better than a driver's license because it gives paramedics the information they need to find the people who love you. Most Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately. ICE your cell phone NOW!
I guess cell phones can serve as a good purpose when it comes to emergencies eh? I always seem to be misplacing or forgetting to recharge mines....
