"superhero draws strength from human touch"
The long awaited superhero movie is finally out and we watched it last night. We'd agreed that we still liked the first one better but overall Spider-Man 2 was a perfect blend of great action, great comedy, and great melodrama. The movie works beautifully because it knows exactly what it is -- a created world that doesn't exist, but presented in a way that makes us all believe in it and wish it did. And it's a story that cares about the humanity of its characters, from the heroes to the villains. The fight scenes was nothing short of spectacular, better character development and special effects so convincing you don't even think about them. It ends with a lead for a sequeal; Spider-Man 3. A great start for a summer blockbuster.
