it's Monday again, back to another week of work and blah! The junk part is that I don't get Friday off for King Kamehameha Day because it's only a STATE holiday and well our office policy is that we don't get an off day unless it's BOTH a federal and state holiday! Ryan has the day off and I don't so I'm envious as I won't be able to sleep in or spend the day with him! (sighs)
"Something Wicked This Way Comes"
The weekend went by fast as usual. We went to the movies, watched Jersey Girl on Saturday at Restaurant Row for 50 cents each (what a deal, huh?) and then caught the first showing of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at Pearl Highlands on Sunday. We enjoyed both movies. Jersey Girl is a sappy, sentimental comedy about a music-business publicist forced to care for his newborn daughter after his wife dies in childbirth. Harry Potter was very entertaining, much darker compared to the previous two and more grown-up and mature; personally, I think this movie is, by far the best of the three. This is the first time I've felt like Hogwarts is an actual place rather than a bunch of sets, the first time the kids have acted like people, rather than characters and the first time the cinematography has something to talk about. Go watch it if you're a Harry Potter fan although you may be disappointed as a lot of what was in the book (important plots) was left out.
