Yups! It's that time of the year again...Punahou Carnival time! The chosen theme for this year is
"Toga Times: Our Big Fat Greek Carnival." I got home from school around 4.30-ish, rested for abit in front of the idiot box while waiting for R to come home from work. We got ready and dressed warmly since the weather is cold and dry with slight chilly winds! Soon we were on our way and we decided to walk instead of having to fight with others for a parking spot as I did not want to waste time driving around the block more than once!
We finally get there around 6.30-ish and it is crowded...very crowded with lots of people! As we politely push our way through the crowds, I find picture taking opportunities and as you can see...I think I did a pretty good job eh? Some I had to take several times as my camera does not take good night shots without good lighting (even after adjusting the ISO) and it has a very, very slow shutter speed! Can get frustrating at times since I have a really low level of patience. With that, I even managed to take a quick video shot of the rides which you can see
here (it look almost okay and clear on my camera during the playback, but after uploading it...I'm sorry it's a little blurry). We didn't go on any of the rides as the lines were just too ridiculously long. And finally before heading home...we had to stop and get our malasada fix! This one...I did not mind getting into line and waiting patiently. A dozen malasadas and by the time I was ready to take a picture...I realized we only have five remaining. Ohh yeah...it is that ono (good)!
