Happy 2007! I'm a little late...however I hope everyone had a great time on New Years Day! It's my first post in year two t h o u s a n d seven and I'm hoping it will be a good year! I'm currently on break from school but will return to a brand new Spring semester in two weeks. So far I've registered for 3 classes but I'm still not sure if the three are my "good" picks.
As mentioned from my last post, R and I flew on Sunday to Maui to spend New Years with his parents. We were able to get on an earlier flight since there weren't too many people travelling; however, our luggage wasn't so lucky (it flew on the scheduled time) so we had to go back to the airport an hour later to pick it up! It's cold and chilly on Maui and yours truly failed to pack warm clothes...all I brought were skimpy, skinny tee and tube tops. Ohh well ~
Once settled at home, I proceed to help R's mom with dinner ~ steak and shrimp fritters. I seasoned the steaks and prepare the mushrooms to be sauteed with onions and butter. oooooo...Yum! After dinner, and while waiting for it to be midnight, R, his parents starts to play with fireworks while I keep busy by taking photos and video footage which you can see here, here and here.
Next morning, we wake to a nice breakfast of fried rice, ozoni and eggs. The rest of the day was spent at home watching TV/DVDs, eating some more and taking a short nap before heading to Walmart to check out their leftover Christmas bargains. Then we come home to eat some more ~ roast beef with gravy, carrots and potatoes while watching World Trade Center on DVD.
On our last day, we drive out to Lahaina, Kihei and Iao Needle for some sight-seeing. It was a lovely day...the sun was up but it was still chilly and windy! Below are some photos I took from our trip. Enjoy!
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.
So kick back, click away and don't forget...enjoy your visit!
"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
