Christmas came and went...real fast! Did you have a good Christmas? Did you give out more gifts or did you receive more gifts? As for me, I had a simple and relaxful Christmas with some good homecook meals. Days leading up to the special day, I'd cooked one of my Dad's specialty dish ~ ham hock curry (eurasian style) and I must I did a fairly great job because it tasted ohhhh so yummmmmy and almost similar to my dad's! Then, on Christmas eve, I'd cooked roast beef with lotsa onions, potatoes and carrots in the slow cooker. This was my second attempt at making it and the results were better than the first as I'd only placed the beef in along with the seasoning and gravy and have it slow cooked for almost 6 hours before adding in the other ingredients. I even made custard pie for dessert. Am I good or what? (grins)
The day after Christmas, I did not even attempt to go to the malls for its day after sales...simply because I didn't feel the need to acquire more goodies that my closet and dresser have no space for. Ryan and I have yet to open all of our gifts and don't ask me why...but we will definately have them all opened before the end of the year.
