Honolulu FestivalThe Honolulu Festival kicked off this weekend and it is about residents of Hawaii and visitors coming together to experience the cultural and traditional art forms of Hawaii, Japan and other Asia-Pacific countries by promoting understanding and ethnic harmony. Throughout the weekend, the Hawaii Convention Center will be host to cultural displays (koa wood carvings, taiko drum performances and samurai dramas) and clinics. I was looking forward to the grand parade along Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki this evening but because of continued bad weather, we decided to forgo it. I was hoping it would clear up today...but unfortunately that's not the case. We woke up to some sun, but at the same time we had some big dark grey clouds and rain showers every now and then. Ohh well...I guess I'll have to wait until next year!
DVDs at a bargain
Circuit City had some great deals on their DVDs today and we took advantage of it. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up! So now we have 6 brand new titles (Guess Who, Finding Neverland, Jersey Girl, Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, Ghostbusters 1 & 2 and The Warriors) to add to our ever-growing DVD collection.
Dinner: Slow Cooker Italian Herb Chicken
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.
So kick back, click away and don't forget...enjoy your visit!
"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~ Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
