I'm done! I'm finally done with school! F I N A L L Y! It could not come any sooner...
...Okay, okay, I admit...technically, I am not really done...but the semester is finally O V E R! *woo hoo* *throws confetti*
Ohhh, happy ALOHA friday! I know, I know it's late but heck...I'm in such a good mood! It's the happiest T.G.I.F. by far and I had my last final today too. I was anticipating for it to be really...really tough (Finance 6000), but after glimpsing through the 3 pages of 10 MCQ and 3 essay questions, I can say for sure...I'll pull through :)
Now to plan 2 glorious days of doing something, anything but read a texbook or write a paper. Why only 2 days you ask? Well...it's because summer session starts on Monday. But let's not dwell on that until Monday. Now I have 2 full wonderful days to catch up on a lot of things that I've been missing out
any thoughts or ideas to share on what I should do?
Did you or did you not observe today as Mardi Gras Day? "Gras" is French for fat and "Mardi" is French for Tuesday. It is the day before Ash Wednesday, a day of celebration and partying before the rigors of Lent's forty days of fasting and sacrifice. Mardi Gras...the mere mention of these two words convey thoughts of: raucous celebrations with costumed party-goers, colored beads flying through the air, ear-to-ear grins plastered on the faces of millions of revelers, and of course floats parading through the streets of New Orleans! However, I'm in Hawaii so no parades...just plenty booze, food and entertainment right on the streets.
I'd decided to check it out since I've never been to a Mardi Gras celebration. So I made my way downtown after work to be part of and see for myself how the locals here in Hawaii enjoy the "greatest free block party" on Nuuanu Street! They were still setting up the stages on both ends of the street for some all night entertainment so instead I browse through the booths that were providing food and booze. Me, being the naughty and cheeky me, bought a cold, short glass of Bacardi Coke along with some Thai food ~ pad thai noodles, fried chicken and chicken curry.
"Let the Good Times Roll!" I'm a little brain dead now...thanks to the Bacardi but I will need to persevere because I have to stay up to do homework :( [now what I really need is a cup of strong, warm and comforting coffee to keep me awake or I can break a sweat by dancing to some JT tunes...]
Happy weekend to all! Friday came and golly I have a full day ahead of me. Waking up in the mornings have become a little difficult the last couple weeks due to the cold weather. Since I am not a morning person, I don't enjoy waking up when it's so nice to be sleeping in. After dragging myself out of bed, I got ready and was on my way to the office. Since I had class in the afternoon, it would be a short day at work and I tried to complete as much as I could. I finally get to school, grab a quick lunch and then head to my first class of Finance 6000. The syllabus was handed to us and boy do I have a lot of work not only for this class, but for all three classes! *sighs* Didn't feel like cooking tonight, so R and I decided to have McDonalds for dinner...I was looking forward to getting their Mushroom, Onion and Swiss Quarter Pounder combo with a Coke but I guess the promotion had ended. So instead I got the Filet O Fish combo with a Coke and R got the regular Quarter Pounder combo with a Coke. I simply love...love the french fries!
It was yet another great night at Lotus Soundbar with Ritsuko and her friends last night. I met up with Ritsuko at 11pm, drove down to Waikiki and arrive at Lotus to find a long line at the entrance. We get in free (thanks Rob!) and it's equally packed inside. We head upstairs, get drinks and wait for her friends to arrive. It was the first time I actually could dance to house music and it's all because of the fantastic tunes that their special guest DJ, Dimitri from Paris was playing. You can here a sample of his music here and here, although the footage isn't all that good because the dance floor did not have as much lighting. It was totally off the hook and seriously good. We danced non-stop for almost 2 hours! I had good time and adding booze to the dancing made it much more fun! Since I was driving, I did restrict on getting drunk and out of hand, so all I had was 2 glasses of vodka-cranberry and a tall cool glass of Shirley Temple cocktail before ending the night around 3am. It was nice meeting the both of you...Jenny and Kerri. Looking forward to the next time for another party night! By the time I arrive home...my feet and toes were so sore (that's for wearing 2 and half inch stilts) but before getting into bed, I was good to remove all makeup, wash my face, brush teeth, wash my feet and changed into my sleep t-shirt. Goodnight! Sweet Dreams!
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.
So kick back, click away and don't forget...enjoy your visit!
"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
