...and that's what I did this past weekend. Ryan's parents had flew in from Maui for a family gathering ~ they arrived early on Saturday morning and came by the apartment to pick us up. We started the day with breakfast at Likelike (pronounced lee-keh lee-keh) Drive Inn. It's a 24/7 family style restaurant that offers local-style diner food and plate lunch of any sort. As usual, it was packed and the line for a table was long...extending all the way out to the entrance door. After a 10 minute wait, we got our table and made ourselves comfortable. I was kinda craving for the banana pancakes but ordered Saimin instead because it was cold outside and I thought I was coming down with something (had some sniffles when I woke up). The sniffles went away by the time I got done eating!! It was yummy and the 2 cups of coffee did some major help in waking me up. After breakfast, we drove down to Kahala and did some window shopping at Kahala Mall. Both Ryan and his dad bought a pair of shoes each, while his mom and I didn't find anything to our fancy.
Next stop was the Waikele Premium Outlets (my favorite shopping area). We did more window shopping at the factory outlet stores...and that's just what we did...just window-shopped! We were there for almost two hours and I was tired by the time we were ready to leave.
We had dinner reservations at Makino Chaya in Pearlridge at the Westridge Shopping Center. Its a new type Japanese food "buffet", where there's the "all-you-can eat" part and there's a selection of food that is cooked/made that you can order of the menu; which you can order any 2 items of the menu at a given time; and keep ordering to your heart's (or stomach's) content and these items are not available on the buffet lines. It was my first time dining there. It was good but it can get overwhelming with all the choices of food! There was an assortment of sashimi, poke, sushi, cold noodles, various meats and seafood and desserts ~ tiramisu, cheesecake, pies, fresh fruits and a chocolate fountain! It's like Todai's but bigger and better. I don't think I've ever eaten as much as I did that night! I could barely move and felt totally grossed out when I got home...
Sunday ~ We had brunch at Hawaii Prince Hotel; to celebrate a relative's 50th wedding anniversary. Again...the food was buffet style...loads of salad, poke, prime rib, seafood mix and more yummilicious desserts! With all that food I ate...I didn't think I could have another meal (ever again!!) but I was wrong as we cooked Loco Moco for dinner and watched Derailed, The Sopranos and Desperate Housewives. How was your weekend?

Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
