We welcome yet another year, hoping to gain some good fortune & prosperity, and experience some good loving and happiness. I flew back to Maui again to ring in the New Year with Ryan and his parents.
We stayed in at home, had a nice home-cooked meal and for the rest of the night, played with fireworks and at the stroke of midnight; Ryan's dad popped the paperless firecrackers.
So I must admit I've been MIA for the last 2 weeks...simply because of all the catching up I had to do at the office upon returning from my vacation and other miscellaneous personal stuff. So now that I'm back, I guess it's only fair that I'd share with y'all what has been going on. The extra days into the New Year in Maui was very much needed and thrilling.
"Climate"
The weather forecast to ring in the New Year was depressing. The weather service predicted heavy showers, high winds and a flash flood warning on all islands especially on Oahu and Kauai, which was expected to begin late Thursday evening and last through Saturday morning. The predictions were almost accurate, only a couple days late. It rained hard all day on New Year's Day instead and by Sunday afternoon we could see the clouds clearing up. Since it was wet outside, we ended up staying in most of the time playing "Need for Speed: Underground" on PS2 and finally deciding to watch movie "Meet the Fockers" later in the evening.
