It's been sorta a lazy week for me. Besides work...I haven't really been doing anything productive!
As from my previous post about Hurricane Flossie, well, thankgodness, there is no bad news because Flossie weakeaned and lost its hurricane status as its maximum winds dropped below 74 mph. After a few brief downpours in the late morning, the day turned out to be kind of nice with some tropical breezes and mostly sunny skies. Those of us who'd been united in threat were released from fear, free now to get everything back into our normal & regular daily routine especially for those who live on the Big Island. As for me, I didn't have to stay home alone preparing for the worst because R had to work the late shift that day. Everything worked out for the best!
FYI: Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. In May, forecasters said the Hawaiian Islands and the rest of the central Pacific faced a slightly below-average hurricane season, with just two or three tropical cyclones expected because of lower sea surface temperatures.
