I've been tagged by several of you! The first tagger, Simon, tagged me with this travel meme several months back and only now (a thousand and one apologies) am I able to finally do it! I've always had the itch to travel ~ to see a new place, to experience and learn a new culture and to taste and savor each new cuisine along the way. When I was barely walking even, my parents were kind enough to bring me to some of the Malaysian states of Terengganu, Malacca, Penang, etc which I barely haveany memory off. However, the places that I do remember and had enjoyed myself are Perth, Adelaide and Sydney in Aussieland, London in Britain, Singapore, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Maui and some parts of Narita town in Japan during some of few stop-overs before flying home to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Anywaes, this tag is about where I would like to go next and gosh...how can I limit it to just one place? I wish I could teleport myself to such exotic destinations ~ Italy, Maldives, Korea, Cabo San Lucas, Switzerland, and many more, with no worries of customs, layovers and flight delays! And now that it is summer time, it a perfect chance for a mini getaway.
What I really would love to do is to go on a roadtrip to see the great U S of A by visiting town after town, state after state! To me, a roadtrip is like the most flexible way to travel and there's nothing like a road trip to help one understand the magic of the open road. Picking a destination...now that will be the hardest since there are so many things to see...figuring exactly where to start from and ending up.
Boston ~ to walk the historic Freedom trail and take swan boat ride in Boston Public Garden;
Miami ~ learn to salsa at a fancy nightclub and perk up with a shot of coffee in Little Havana;
New York ~ take in the view from atop the Empire State Building and see a broadway show;
Montreal ~ enjoy the summer's outdoor jazz and comedy festivals; and
San Francisco ~ climb aboard a cable car, drive across the Golden Gate Bright and dine on dim sum in Chinatown. Then, there's the Pacific Coast Highway, Route 66, Great River Road, or the Tamiami Trail.
Okay, I betta start my planning...
Next, to tag five people...gosh, who do I pick? Volunteers? So I pick
