...so I have two days of freedom from school, textbooks and term papers. I had to make the most of it...to do nothing, anything, something and everything within the next 48 hours! Both days I slept in until about 11-ish and then when about to do something fun.
Saturday
I spent most of the day at Kapiolani Park to join in and celebrate all things Filipino. The Filipino Community Center in cooperation with the Honolulu Filipino Junior Chamber of Commerce play hosts to the 15th annual Filipino Fiesta. Among the fiesta's celebrated guests and entertainment are Jaya Ramsey, Ogie Alcasid, The Royal Hawaiian Band, Kristian Lei, Marlene Baldueza, Janilee Nariano and much more. It also featured food booths with some authentic Filipino food along with local Hawaiian/American plate lunch style food as well, craft booths and cultural demonstration. It was really fun and entertaining to enjoy some tasty grubs (my favorite ~ pork guisantes) with some power tunes by Jaya and Ogie. They flew in from the Philippines to make a special appearance and were also promoting the #1 Filipino TV network and the shows they hosts on gma.tv. I've not heard of them being that I'm not a Filipina/Pinay but I must say they both can sing; I especially love Jaya's deep, powerful voice and infectious personality. Check out some of Jaya's and Ogie' performances here, here and here.
When the fiesta ended at 5pm, I strolled into Waikiki, stopping by Starbucks to buy me a grande Iced Thai Expresso before continuing on with my stroll. Before heading home, I make a quick pit-stop at this nail store (I forget the name) for a pedicure and manicure. Okay, so I'll admit it was a tad bit too PINK for my liking but I'm sure it will grow on me. Ohh, how I feel pampered! *grins*
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.

"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
"With a birthday on the 5th of the month you are inclined to work well with people and enjoy them. You are talented and versatile, very good at presenting ideas. You may have a tendency to get itchy feet at times and need change and travel. You tend to be very progressive, imaginative and adaptable. Your mind is quick, clever and analytical. A restlessness in your nature may make you a bit impatient and easily bored with routine. You may have a tendency to shirk responsibility".
