I know I should be home studying for my mid-terms but I really needed a day off from both work and school. I think I deserved it so I went ahead to plan a few fun things to do. First, I headed over to Ala Moana Shopping Center to do some window-shopping. While browsing through the stores on ground level, I heard hawaiian music being played at centerstage. A Back-to-School event called THE SCENE had started and I caught Ten Feet performing and a fashion show at the same time. While waiting for the next band to set up and perform; Next Generation...host KC of Power 104.3FM and his crew were handing out some cool offers and giveaways! So if you're at the mall tomorrow, the event continues on from 11am through 2pm with more live entertainment by Jonah Moananu & Rukkus, Kona and BET.
Next I headed over to Kapiolani Park for the Korean Festival. Finding parking was a problem and so was the weather, but I was determine. So after several circling around the parking area by Waikiki Shell...I was lucky to find a stall. So off I went to enjoy some good food and korean entertainment. Below are some pictures I took.
I ended the day by heading over to Foster Botanical Garden. They were hosting their annual garden in the evening theme "Midsummer Night's Gleam". It was my first time there and it was nice to be one with nature along with some interesting entertainment like belly dancing, a jungle safari walk for kids, jugglers and more! Loads of fun but I didn't stay long because it started to drizzle. Yeah...I'm a total wimp when it comes to rain!
