"Say ALOHA to Best Buy Store"

The nation's largest consumer electronics retailer, Best Buy opened its doors to Honolulu residents last Friday. It is the first outlet here in Hawaii. It's located at the corner of Alakawa Street and Nimitz Highway near Costco and Home Depot. Saturday afternoon, Ryan and I decided to take a drive down that area since we weren't too sure of its exact location and boy was that a mistake. We could see the cars lining up on one side of Alakawa street...a slow bumper to bumper crawl just to get into the parking lot of Best Buy. It was just so crazy to see so many people and so much traffic but then again it is the weekend so almost everyone is out to see the new store and also to shop at either Costco or Home Depot. Police officers were there too to help with the slow flow of traffic. What did we do? We took a quick detour through Home Depot, thinking we could park at Costco's, shop a little bit and then maybe just walk over. Another mistake! It was just as busy at Home Depot's and Costco's parking structure that we just drove off to Kahala Mall instead. I guess we won't be heading in that direction for a couple of weeks and hopefully something will be done to help with traffic. We didn't do much over the weekend except stay in again and watch DVDs. Ryan worked on Sunday, so I was home...with urge to clean but instead I procrastinated and played games on the PS2 almost all day (sighs). At least I did get the laundry done (hehe). I will be better next weekend...
