Being that I haven't been "blogging" as often I should, I'm feel I should write and write and write to make up for the days missed. Having said that, who do you think will get voted off American Idol? I have my guess of who might be going home tonight but hey it's been so unpredictable this whole season that I may just be wrong! I did my duty and called in my votes, so did Ryan as well as his parents help too (8 votes total). Trust me, it was no fun, but with the "redial" button, I manage to get my 2 votes through. Even with that, I managed to get connected to a wrong # too; "you've reached Verizon's online tech department, press 1 for…" (wtf?) I hung up, checked the # and yup, it was the # I was dialing for the last 15 minutes or so after the show, and kept getting a busy signal. Also, AI finally added Hawaii to the list for their summer concert (much thanks to Jasmine!) and it's scheduled for Sept and tickets go on sale on Saturday. Ryan and I were talking about it last night on the phone, so we will try to get tickets when we return in the afternoon (that is if it hasn't been sold out yet!) The news said there will about approximately 6000 tickets sold for each night so we crossing our fingers to catch 2 for ourselves.
So here I am stuck at the office, counting the hours, minutes and seconds before I can head out to the airport for my trip to Maui, I have to somehow keep myself occupied so my mind doesn't go into "dreamland" or at least not when my boss is around! So a little update on what's been going on for the last week or so.
WORK
The whole adventure with the new accounting software is almost complete. It works just fine, printed the rent check nicely so the things that are left to do; make sure all the income and expenses adds up on the rent cards, allocate it correctly to each owner, and to somehow pray that each month will be correctly balanced! Never was ever too fond of accounting since school days, and I knew it will come to haunt me so I have come to realize that that day is today and I "must" try to work this out!
My boss is currently shopping around for a new office space because the lease for one we're in right now will be ending sometime this year and he's not looking into renewing it. So far he's had his interest in the buildings close to Ala Moana Shopping; the American Savings Building & Ala Moana Pacific Center. Should know his decision by next week sometime.
HOME
Managed to do some cleaning and tidying up around the apartment since Ryan is away in Maui. Still trying to figure out how to re-arrange the furniture so we can save space around the apartment and not have it looking as cluttered as it is right now, but am not having any luck in making any difference. I did have a chance to clear some boxes that was stacked against the wall, with all sorts of miscellaneous items thrown into it for me to decide to either toss it out or to keep is someplace else. I even cleaned out the kitchen area, especially the refrigerator where I found a lot of items to be thrown out (not even going to mention what each items were!) Didn't play Dynasty Warriors as much as I wanted too but I'm sure I will when we return on Saturday.
