Miss Chua...the soon-to-be Mrs. Peters!

My best friend back home in KL...is getting married! Her honey proposed on Valentine's Day (I didn't know until she replied to my last email) and only got the full details yesterday. From what she told me, it was a sweet, cute and romantic proposal. He was actually planning to propose at the Italian Rest 'Grappa' in by going down on his knees but realise that the tables was arrange so close to one another, that it would be impossible to have the privacy. So he postponed the proposal a little later at the next location as they were suppose to watch a play which he too had taken the liberty to arrange it all by himself the day before. They met another couple at a nearby bar and had a drink or two. He didn't proposed then & there as the mood was not so right since their 'coupled' friends were not really themselves at that time because she thinks they were arguing on the way there. So he thought, he'll wait for the special moment. Next she wanted to buy some DVDs and made a little pitstop at the gas station to get gas....and here's the actual email with the proposal description!
When we wanted to come back into the car after filing gas, I reached to the car door and unlock the door. When I did that, I suddenly realise that my own ring which i was wearing was really glittery like diamonds. So I said to him as he entered the car.. "My ring damn shinning ah? Like diamonds la!" My ring was just actually white gold but the design around the ring was crafted that look like a row of diamonds from a distance! So then he thought this was the moment he was looking for!! He ask me... "Why you wish it was real diamonds is it?" And I'm like ... hello!! I said.. " No, I said it look like diamonds isn't it?" My point which I was trying to prove was that I was damn smart in buying a ring that look like diamonds but didn't pay for the diamond price! So I was trying to highlight that I did a smart buy! sheeesh! anyway, then, he pulled the car to the side near the air tyre pump. So I thought he was going to pump air into the tyre. He took his seatbelt off, and turn to me and again asked me... "So do you wish it was real diamonds?". So now I'm really feeling weird coz I was wondering did he just stopped the car to ask me that again? But I was silent. Coz at the same time, he reach into his pockets and pulled out a red heart shaped box! I;m like!!!! helloooo! what going on? At first I thought, .... OMG is there a ring in there?, then I thought, no way! he wouldn't proposed to me in a gas station!!! WHy I was guessing because he didn't open the box and didn't say anything at the same time! I thought... maybe it's a pair of earrings! Then he finally said.. "will you marry me?" and open the box! A diamond ring appeared! It's really beautiful! I love it! The best part, I didn't say anything. All I did was lift my finger out for him to put the ring into my finger! As he was about to, he said to me... "Eh! Say yes first la!!!" We both laughed and I said yessss....
When she told me, it was just one of those moments where I wish I could've congratulated her in person, but email will have to do! Although the wedding won't be until next year, I'm truly excited and happy for her. Love and congratulations to you and Kenny!
