Who would have thought? A couple weeks ago, I went to see the Honolulu Festival parade in Waikiki and took numerous photos. Well as I was preparing to blog about it, I checked its official website for links and found out they were having a "photo contest". All one had to do was submit favorite photos taken during this 3-day event, along with name, address, and a mini-description via email. Plus there was no limit to the number of photos for submittion! So yours truly, picked her favorite shots (I forgot if I even wrote any "mini-descriptions") and emailed it that night.
Today, after several days of not checking my mailbox, I find a large brown envelope with the "Honolulu Festival" logo on it. I pick my brains as to why they would send me anything. Not like I contributed or participated but then I remembered! Yay! One of my photos won! So I hurry upstairs, greeted R with a kiss and proceed to open the envelope quickly. Out comes a congatulatory letter and an official "Honolulu Festival Happi Coat". Next, I checked their website to see which one of my many photos was chosen. Ooooo...gembiranya I! *grins*
