My partner in crime; Ritsuko and I hooked up again on Sunday to do some window-shopping around Ward Centers. We browse through several stores ~ Red Pineapple, MisFortune, Nordstrom Rack, Pier 1, SoHa, Le Lotus Bleu and Cinnamon Girl; where I'd purchase a pretty lilac skirt (XXS) that was 75% off its original price. What a deal!! And that's about the only thing I bought though...I guess I'll check out Ala Moana mall during the week on my lunch breaks (since my office is around the corner) and see if I can get lucky shopping for some much needed clothes and shoes! Intially, I'd suggested we try Goma-tei Ramen at Ward Center but decided otherwise and instead picked to see if a Thai restaurant in downtown was open for dinner. We drove by but it was all dark, so we continued on to pick Indian food as our next choice. Cafe Maharani is along King Street (across from Star Market) and this was the place to be for Indian food. The atmosphere in restaurant was was very Indian-like with one tv screen playing Indian music videos and the air was full with Indian spices. We ordered the chicken vindaloo (very spicy!), beef with biryani rice and 2 slices of warm chapati. The portions were big and the taste was amazing, however the service was a little slow.
