If you've seen the original then you know what happens in the new one. The movie kicks off with an original prologue that sets up the story with the Vatican learning of signs that the Anti-Christ is returning. I find The Omen 2006 not scarier, but in many ways it is more shocking and suspenseful than the original. The kills and scares are the main reason to watch the movie ~ the death scenes are more intricate (combining striking visuals and haunting music to create a well-crafted thriller) and while not necessarily bloody, they are pretty appalling. It delivers several powerful jolts, stocking the film with potent jump-scares and I jumped at every single one! I won't go into much details but I have to say the best death scene was when the photographer gets decapitated in a very bloody fashion. I knew it was coming up, had my hands over my eyes, gasp as I peek through my fingers! Wicked death! (Yvy...you'll like that scene too!)
All in all, it's a classy remake, and the kid is menacing (he has the look down) and creepy as hell, too!
