What did you do over the long three-day weekend? As usual, we made our drive to Waialua to visit Ryan's grandpa on Saturday morning. Before reaching his home, Ryan made a quick pit stop by the old sugar mill to show me where LOST had filmed their last episode. It's where Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) has a flashback about his past in his hometown of Nigeria. The rest of the afternoon was spent eating McDonald's for lunch, washing and vacumming my dirty car and some window-shopping at Circuit City and Pearlridge Mall.
Sunday ~ the weather was lovely: sunny, fairly still, warm; so we decided to take a short trip down to the Honolulu Zoo. My main draw was to see Rusti, the Orangutan with his new female companion Violet. Unfortunately, they were in their "getting-to-know-each-other" period so they weren't in sight at all. His old place was empty and his new home wasn't all that ready yet so we didn't get to see them. I was a little dissapointed. Despite that, I still had a great time ~ I made up names for some of the other animals we saw and I grew a liking for ~ Drake & Tiny the alligators, Mia the rhino, Isadora and Cordelia the hippos, and JohnJohn the monkey.
Okay, so how many of you out there are die-hard fans of the tv show 24? The biggest can't-miss tv show begins its fifth season Sunday night with a two-hour debut and continues Monday with another two-hour episode. The show got off to a crackling start Sunday night with...ohhh...I guess I should not go into details for those of you whom have not seen it yet, huh? The 2 main questions to ask are ~ how will agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) save the day and what unbelievable odds will he need to overcome? If you haven't seen the show, definitely check it out ~ it's totally riveting! And there are 20 hours to go.
Monday was a spent simply lazing around at home, channel-hopping through tens of thousands of channels full of unwatchable shows while doing a couple loads of laundry, prepared and cooked pot roast in a slow cooker, uploaded new songs onto the Ipod and watched the second two-hour segment of 24.
A little late but how was your weekend? Infact, this weekend I'd actually plan on doing a bunch of nothing. Heh!

"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
