Okay, just hours before our flight to Maui, we find out that we will no longer have an apartment to live in come mid-July because our landlord wants to take back the apartment. Reason being that he has a relative whom will stay at the apartment. I really think that he wants to sell it and not hire us as the agents! With that said, I'm stressing to acquire a place as soon as possible and hopefully find something that's rather affordable, utilities included, at least 2 parking and with a washer and dryer in the unit. I know I'm asking too much especially now being that the real estate market is soaring here in Honolulu. There's just not enough supply of rental properties to meet with all the demands of the renters. These days' landlords are jacking up rents or cashing out entirely by selling properties at the top of the market. So...we're crossing our fingers and hoping to acquire something before the end of the month. If you know of any rental that's available or coming available, please do let me know.
"Beautiful Maui"
Maui was simply beautiful and H.O.T! We didn't really do much or go out as much as we'd planned to. Basically we spent most of our time at home with Ryan's parents'. Friday night, we drove out to Lahaina to have dinner at Kobe to celebrate Ryan's birthday. It's a local Japanese steak house with a sushi bar where you can enjoy the ancient art of teppanyaki cooking as knife-wielding chefs prepare delicious steaks, seafood, and chicken entrees right at your table. You will love watching the amazing chefs' slice and dice right before your eyes. Your eyes will widen with delight when the flames fly high. At our table, even the two-year-old little girl's eyes lit up with excitement as she clapped her hands and said, "Wow"! The sushi is superb, and each dinner includes a shrimp appetizer, shabu-shabu soup, vegetables, rice, and tea. For our entrees, the birthday boy ordered steak with shrimp, I had the chicken and shrimp dish, Ryan's dad ordered steak with scallops and Ryan's mom had the chicken and scallops. Simply delicious! After dinner, we stop by Whaler's Village and did some window shopping. We made a quick stop for some sweet treats at Haagen-Dazs, before calling it a night and headed home.
We did some shopping during the day on Saturday at Queen Kaahumanu Center
and proceeded to have dinner in Kihei at the Maui Prince Hotel. We had buffet - japanese style this time around at Hakone Restaurant. On Sunday, we did a little sight-seeing, or to be exact, we just drove around Lahaina through Front Street and back into town and made some pit-stops at Costco, Walmart and finally at Borders where Ryan found and bought the DVD he was looking for (Batman - The Animated Series: Vol 3).
"More of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith"
Yes we watched Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith again on Monday with Ryan's dad and I think it was even better this time around. Why? Because I wasn't tired or sleepy and I actually got to see the whole movie without dozing off as I was doing during the midnight screening! I have to admit that I've never been a fan of Star Wars but I really like this one and totally enjoyed watching the tie-ins with the droids, the characters, the locations and especially the music. George Lucas is a good story teller. He creates characters that people care about. When it comes to effects, he takes the current and advances it to a higher level.
and...I do mean Welcome! Selamat Datang! Aloha! I extend a warm welcome and am glad that you could stop by and read my blog. It simply contains general musings and ramblings about things that concern and/or interest me.
So kick back, click away and don't forget...enjoy your visit!
"So you want to know me? Romantic and logical ~ Loyal and always true ~ Funloving crazy and very quiet when needed ~
Sensible and down to earth...to sum it up, I guess I'm pretty much a "nice girl", hopefully in a good way, who's also a bit of a geek"
Here I am as perfect as I'm ever going to be.
You'll see, love me for me.
Stick around, I'm not the kind of girl you wanna leave.
You'll see, love me for me.
