So how was everyone's weekend? Anything exciting happened? As for me, it sure did seem that the weekend came and went by fast! Ryan's parents' were in town for the weekend because Ryan was graduating on Sunday. The day started early as Ryan had to be there by 8am and also to find the ideal parking spot so we don't get caught with the heavy traffic after the ceremony. All the parents', relatives' and friends rushed through the front doors to Stan Sheriff Center so ideal seating could be found. Once settled, I entertained myself with my Ipod. It was a long, long ceremony with about 1,300 candidates. Instead of the standard black cap and gown as used in previous years, this year a new color was chosen; the university's official color - green. In addition to the new robe color, The UH Marching Band also played a new processional music, "Above All Nations," for the entering graduates. After the ceremony, everyone was redirected to either to the Les Murakami Stadium or Soccer Field to meet up with the proud graduates (according to the first letter of their last name) for the lei-giving. We adjourned to rest a little bit at home before his dinner party at Kabuki restaurant in Pearl City. All in all, it was a fun yet tiring day! Congratulations Ryan and I'm proud of you!
