"What's been going on?"

Yes I must admit I'm back to bad habits, and am not updating my page as often as I would like to. I will try to be not as lazy although at times I'm just at a writers block and have nothing to write about.

The weather has been crazy lately; two weeks ago - a major downpour of rain caused some flooding in the Manoa area and of the closure of UH due to no power and major losses to Hamilton library as water had risen as high as 6 feet in the basement level. It has been raining of and on since then, and it did rain the whole day again on my birthday which did cause a power loss yet again at UH since regaining power to resume classes at the university. Yesterday, it rained again almost day but with "strong and gusty trade winds" in the later part of the afternoon. We practically had to secure all windows so that we don't have loose or fragile items going airborne. This did continue until this morning and it is still windy outside. I totally love this kind of weather when I'm indoors, at home - either in bed or on the couch under my favorite comforter, but hating each moment when the need to be outdoors becomes a necessity!

Yes I did celebrate my 28th birthday 2 weeks ago on a quiet note. Ryan took me to dinner at Hakone's at the Prince Hotel. It was buffet night with plentiful Japanese cruisine to savor on a cold day! It poured from the time I woke up, drove to work and continued into the night even when we were done with dinner and driving home. Since the weather was bad almost all weekend, we stay in most of the time and watched Dawson's Creek on DVD. We finished season 2 by Sunday afternoon and next weekend we will start with season 3 and 4. This Tuesday, Smallville season 3 comes out, so I can almost guarantee we will be at Sam's Club or Costco after work so that Ryan can buy it. I'm looking forward to Gilmore Girl's season 2 which comes out on December 7, 2004.

Work has been slowing down lately, which is sorta good (i think) and I'm not as stressed out as I was in the last couple months. I'm looking forward to the holiday season as I will be in Maui but will need to a start on my shopping list soon. Did try to window shop for gift ideas but didn't have much luck. Ohh well, I guess I will be spending some many days at Ala Moana or Pearlridge Mall!

"With a birthday on the 5th of the month you are inclined to work well with people and enjoy them. You are talented and versatile, very good at presenting ideas. You may have a tendency to get itchy feet at times and need change and travel. You tend to be very progressive, imaginative and adaptable. Your mind is quick, clever and analytical. A restlessness in your nature may make you a bit impatient and easily bored with routine. You may have a tendency to shirk responsibility".
