It's been almost a week since the opening of Walmart on Keeaumoku Street. The verdict? It's huge, bigger aisles for browsing, a good deal of product variety, and did i meantion it's HUGE? Of course, Ryan and I stop by on opening day but we sorta waited until the later part of the day to go by. As we got closer, there were policeman directing traffic as to which parking lot we could enter. Finally around the block we got in via Sheridan street, up the ramp to the third floor and we found a good spot. It was PACKED with car and people! This was around 7.45pm, so we decided to just browse, make a mental note of what we needed or wanted so we can go back when there's not so many people. It was an experience and I must say, having a Walmart in town and soon to open Sam's Club surely get's a thumb's up from me. Too bad it's not opened 24-hours. It will be great to have this store right here in town. It sure beats having to drive all the way out to Mililani! For what it's worth, as a consumer I still look forward to shopping at Wal-Mart, saving some bucks here and there. And man, the stuff at Wal-Mart might sometimes be crap, but it's cheap crap.
